Julius V. Sudds is a seasoned basketball coach with a proven track record of elevating programs and maximizing athlete potential at the collegiate, high school, and elite AAU levels. He currently serves as a Head Coach in the semi-professional ranks, where he leads a competitive, disciplined, and fast-paced system built on accountability, defensive intensity, and player development that translates to winning basketball.
Sudds’ coaching career includes impactful tenures at Clark Atlanta University — first as a graduate assistant and later as the Director of Basketball Operations. In that role, he was entrusted with major program responsibilities, including opponent scouting, fundraising, academic oversight, and travel logistics. His leadership contributed to a 3.3 men’s basketball team GPA and more than $30,000 raised to support program growth in a single season.
Across Georgia high school basketball, Sudds developed multiple All-District athletes while helping guide state playoff contenders and regional champions at Heritage and Stockbridge High Schools. His efforts earned him recognition as the 2022 Region Coach of the Year. He also strengthens the grassroots pipeline as a coach with Young Game Changers, a program with national-level exposure and student-athletes earning NCAA Division I opportunities.
Before coaching, Sudds was a standout collegiate player — a three-year starter and two-year captain — leading Clark Atlanta University to multiple championships and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. He still holds program defensive records, bringing firsthand competitive experience to the athletes he now mentors.
Sudds holds both a B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Computer Network & Security from Clark Atlanta University — a background that fuels his analytical approach to game preparation and program operations.
Driven by culture, character, and development, Sudds is committed to preparing athletes for the next level — whether that means professional advancement, personal growth, or both.
